If you happen to be visiting New York’s Financial District any time soon, there is a great museum at 48 Wall Street called the Museum of American Finance.

The Museum of American Finance is a great place to visit in the financial district to learn about the history of the country’s financial sector. There are collections of rare examples of banknotes and other forms of currency. Exhibits educate visitors on several different aspects of finance, including: banking, money, financial markets, entrepreneurship, and the first Secretary of the Treasury, Alexander Hamilton. The museum also hosts a variety of events including speakers and seminars on a variety of financial topics.

The Museum of American Finance is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 4pm. Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for students/seniors, and free for members and kids 6 and under. Visit for more information.

The Financial District, in Lower Manhattan is one of the most popular destinations for visitors and New Yorkers alike. With popular sites like the 9/11 Memorial, the Statue of Liberty, and the NYSE located nearby, there is plenty to see and do.
